Aztec 360 have started a blog…
21 05 2009
Shaun and I have finally decided it was time to put a blog together for Aztec 360. It’s been a long time coming but hopefully we can get a few interested regular readers to have a skim of our articles.
So here’s my first attempt at a blog posting…
I’ve been contemplating why on occasion some people really don’t get it, regarding the possibilities of virtual tours to enhance their sales or information aspect. Seriously, many really just don’t immediately see the benefit or even the possibilities of what a high quality virtual tour could do for their company or organisation. It’s something that is very “right brained” to think about and those who are “left brained” pragmatists, much more into figures than pictures, tend to struggle with the concept. So let’s see if I can squash a few negative and incorrect assumptions.
A virtual tour can enhance the way your website portrays your company for the better. Imagine for instance that your potential client is looking at a picture of your impressive sports facility. Does it look impressive on a small web image? Of course it doesn’t. It can hardly do it justice. Roll in the VR.
With a VR of your facilities, all of a sudden you can see all around you. Click to go full screen and you’re pretty much in the place running around the indoor track.
If you’re an artist then just imagine what an interactive realistic art gallery can do for you. Images on the walls that you can pan around and zoom in to see but even better. you can click them to get them to pop out in front of you. The possibilities are endless.
One of our current developments is an interactive tour with a built in professional human presenter including voice overs. He or she can talk your potential clients through the tour, telling you about the hotspots to click on and explaining more about the individual areas you land on. It’s like all of a sudden your customer (through pure curiosity) has decided to call over your sales rep to talk himself into buying your products.
These are just a few of the possibilities we can achieve with virtual tours.
The scope for new development is boundless.
Food for thought
Paul
